Fire protection pumping
Sample case study — narrative to be confirmed with the project team

Project Challenge
A multi-speciality hospital building required a complete fire pump room — main, standby and jockey pumps with controllers — commissioned to the approving authority's requirements before occupancy.
Engineering Approach
Our engineers reviewed the fire-protection design basis, verified the duty points against the hydraulic calculations and checked suction arrangements from the fire water tank before recommending the pump package.
Solution
A matched set of electric main pump, diesel standby pump and jockey pump was supplied with controllers, valves and pump-room accessories suitable for the hospital's demand.
Execution
Installation was supported on site, alignment and pressure-sensing lines were verified, and the system was flow-tested against the design duty with the contractor and consultant present.
Result
The pump room was commissioned with complete documentation and the facility team was trained on the weekly test routine. The system passed inspection and the building received its occupancy clearance on schedule.
